New Associate Director
We are delighted to announce that Paul Milton has been appointed as an Associate Director with Collier Reading Architects. Paul has a wealth of experience within private domestice, care facilities, hospitality and listed developments and we are pleased to welcome him to the team. He has been a Senior Architect with the practice since 2010 and this promotion is in recognition of his commitment and dedication.

LABC Building Excellence Awards 2011 - Somerset West
Best New Dwelling & Domestic Extension - Commended - Catcott & Axbridge
We are delighted to have been presented with highly commended awards at the annual prestigious LABC Building Excellence Awards at Somerset County Cricket Club in Taunton, under the Best New Single Dwelling category for a new house at Lippets Way in Catcott, and under the Best Extension - Sedgemoor for our project at Chestnut Hill Farm, Axbridge.
Mendip District Council - Built - in Quality Award 2011
Collier Reading Architects is delighted to receive the award for Best Commercial Building over £1 million for its development at Wookey Hole Caves.
The award is recognition for our work in the provision of a new 58 bedroom hotel at one of Somersets best known tourist attractions. The award was presented to the practice at Glastonbury Town Hall on 4th March 2011.

Best Domestic Extension - Commended - Myrtle Farm, Moorlynch.
The Practice is very proud to announce that at the recent Somerset West Building excellence awards, we were presented with a highly commended award under the Best Domestic Extension category for the project at Myrtle Farm, Moorlynch, near Bridgwater.
At the same awards ceremony, we were also a finalist in the same category for the project at The Olde Farm, Allerton, Axbridge.
Partnering Framework
Design Quality Award 2009
Collier Reading Architects have been awarded a highly commended certificate for the Building and Design Quality Award 2009, for a domestic project in East Harptree, by Bath & North East Somerset.
Other recently received Awards include; Built-in Quality Award 2007- Mendip District Council. Built-in Quality Award 2009 - commended, Mendip District Council. Finalist - Andy Wills Award for partnership 2009
As part of the on going development of the practice in 2009, and maintaining professional working relations with Mendip Building Control, Collier Reading Architects have entered into a partnering framework with Mendip District Council.
