Ian Collier - Director

Dip Arch (Oxford) RIBA, FFB, Maps – DIRECTOR

Born in 1955, Ian studied Architecture at Cheltenham School of Architecture and finally Oxford Polytechnic, qualifying as an Architect and being elected as a member of the RIBA in 1984.

Ian has considerable experience both at local authority level, and in private practice at Kendall Kingscott where he became an Associate during a total of 11 years at the Practice.

Ian joined Douglas Smith Partnership in 1996 and has been a Partner of the Practice since 1999.

Ian’s experience is widespread having worked in both public and private sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare and education fields at both local and national level.

In addition to his role as Chartered Architect, Ian also heads the Practice’s CDM-Coordinator service, having become a Member of the Association of Project Safety in 2005.
