Listed Building works near completion at The Manor House, Bath, Somerset

The Manor House is a grade II listed early 17th century three storey merchant’s house in the centre of Box in Wiltshire that had come into disrepair after being neglected for a number of years.

The new owners have sensitively refurbished and extended the house in close collaboration with the Conservation Officer and the end result is a striking modern dwelling house within a restored traditional exterior.

The new rear extension uses local stone detailing and oak to produce a sympathetic design which was developed with the local authority.

The old coach house to the rear was also subject to listed building approval due to its location within the curtilage of the farm house and has been sensitively upgraded for use as a home office and completes this prestigious courtyard development of old farm buildings following the previous remodelling of the old tythe barn.
